Post Publication Policy
The Proceedings of the International Music and Performing Arts Conference (IMPAC Proceedings) regards all published articles as part of the permanent scholarly record. To preserve the integrity and trustworthiness of this record, post-publication changes are permitted only under specific circumstances and are handled according to international publishing standards and the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines.
1. Corrections
Minor errors that do not affect the overall validity or interpretation of the research may be corrected through an official correction notice.
Correction notices will be linked directly to the original article to ensure transparency and traceability across all platforms and repositories.
2. Name Changes
IMPAC Proceedings respects the right of authors to request name changes after publication. Requests must be submitted to the editorial office along with appropriate documentation or rationale.
All approved name updates will be reflected consistently in the article metadata, DOI registration, and indexing databases while maintaining the continuity of the scholarly record.
3. Retractions
Articles may be retracted in cases of proven ethical misconduct, such as plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, duplicate publication, or serious methodological errors that invalidate the findings.
Retractions will follow the COPE Retraction Guidelines (2019) and will be clearly identified and linked to the original article.
The original article will remain accessible online with a watermark or retraction notice, ensuring full transparency of the academic record.
4. Withdrawals
Submissions may be withdrawn prior to publication at the author’s request or if ethical, authorship, or validity concerns arise during the review process.
Published articles may only be withdrawn under exceptional circumstances (e.g., legal violations, copyright infringement). A withdrawal notice will replace the original article and clearly state the reason for withdrawal.
5. Version of Record and Metadata Integrity
Once published, the online article is considered the Version of Record (VoR).
Any subsequent updates—such as corrections, name changes, or retractions—will be applied to this version and recorded through Crossref metadata updates to maintain accuracy and permanence in indexing systems.
All post-publication changes will be documented to ensure transparency, traceability, and archival integrity in accordance with COPE, Crossref, and Scopus best practices.
