Archiving and Preservation Policy

The Proceedings of the International Music and Performing Arts Conference (IMPAC Proceedings) is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation, accessibility, and discoverability of all published content.

Digital Object Identifier (DOI)

Every article is assigned a unique DOI through Crossref to guarantee permanent discoverability, citation tracking, and metadata integration across indexing systems.

Indexing and Abstracting Services

All article metadata are deposited with Google Scholar, Crossref, and other indexing services to ensure global visibility.
Applications for inclusion in Asian Science Citation Index (ASCI), Scopus, and Web of Science (WoS) are in progress.

Archiving and Repository

All published articles are archived in the Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) Institutional Repository, which is OAI-PMH compliant, ensuring continued accessibility even if the journal’s primary website becomes unavailable.

The publisher also participates in international digital preservation initiatives such as the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN), LOCKSS, and CLOCKSS, which create distributed backup systems to safeguard scholarly content.

Permanent Availability

Once published, articles remain permanently accessible. No content will be removed or altered except under the conditions outlined in the Post Publication Policy (corrections, retractions, or withdrawals).
In the unlikely event that IMPAC Proceedings ceases publication, all existing content will continue to be preserved through these archiving systems.

Self-Archiving

Authors are permitted to deposit the published version (Version of Record) of their articles in personal websites, institutional repositories, or subject repositories, provided that full bibliographic citation to IMPAC Proceedings is included.
