Kajian ini bertujuan memahami cara pengajaran bahasa Melayu melalui Zoom dapat disesuaikan untuk pelajar Jepun serta mengenal pasti strategi efektif untuk mengatasi cabaran pembelajaran. Pendekatan kualitatif dengan kaedah kajian kes digunakan. Data dikumpulkan melalui temu bual separa berstruktur dan pemerhatian kelas, dianalisis secara tematik untuk mengenal pasti tema utama seperti penerimaan pelajar dan cabaran pengajaran. Kajian menunjukkan bahawa pelajar Jepun menghadapi cabaran fonetik dan tatabahasa dalam bahasa Melayu. Penggunaan bahan ajar kontekstual dan suasana yang komunikatif membantu mereka meningkatkan kemahiran melalui teknik interaktif. Kajian ini menawarkan pendekatan pengajaran yang sesuai untuk persekitaran maya, menyarankan strategi yang lebih adaptif dan interaktif bagi pengajaran bahasa Melayu di masa hadapan. Kajian ini merupakan penyelidikan yang jarang ditemui, fokus pada pengajaran bahasa Melayu dalam alam maya di Jepun, dan menyediakan panduan praktikal untuk pendidik.
The main purpose of this study is to understand how learning and teaching the Malay language online through Zoom can be adapted to meet the needs of students in Japan as well as effective strategies that can be used to overcome the problems that arise. A qualitative approach with a case study method is used. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and classroom observations, analyzed thematically to identify key themes such as student acceptance and teaching challenges. Studies show that Japanese students face phonetic and grammatical challenges in Malay. The use of contextual teaching materials and a communicative atmosphere help them improve their skills through interactive techniques. This study offers a suitable teaching approach for the virtual environment, suggesting a more adaptive and interactive strategy for teaching Malay in the future. This study is a rare piece of research, focusing on the teaching of Malay in the virtual world in Japan, and providing practical guidance for educators.
