Abstract

Pelajar menghadapi kesukaran dalam menghasilkan penulisan e-mel yang bermutu. Tambahan, pelajar juga didapati kurang berupaya menghuraikan isi dengan baik. Kajian ini dijalankan untuk meningkatkan keupayaan pelajar dalam menghuraikan isi bagi penulisan e-mel serta menggalakkan pembelajaran aktif dengan memanfaatkan e-Pedagogi melalui pembelajaran asynchronous dan synchronous. Kajian ini menggunakan pendekatan Kajian Tindakan. Pengumpulan data adalah berdasarkan kaedah kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Dapatan awal kajian menunjukkan e-pedagogi berupaya meningkatkan mutu penulisan pelajar untuk menjana idea, mengasah pemikiran dan memahami topik dengan lebih baik secara kendiri mahupun secara kolaboratif. Portal pembelajaran pelajar Singapura iaitu Student Learning Space (SLS) dan beberapa aplikasi ICT lain berupaya membantu guru menerapkan pemikiran aras tinggi, semasa pelajar mengemukakan pendapat peribadi, melaksanakan kajian dan perbincangan dalam pembelajaran. Penggunaan pelbagai peranti ICT dan pendekatan e-Pedagogi dalam kajian ini menonjolkan kedinamikan pengajaran dan pembelajaran bahasa Melayu pada masa kini.

Students faced difficulties in producing quality e-mail writing. Furthermore, students were found to be less capable of elaborating on content effectively. This research was conducted to enhance students' ability to elaborate on content for email writing and to encourage active learning by leveraging on e-pedagogy through asynchronous and synchronous learning. This research uses the Action Research approach. Data collection was based on both quantitative and qualitative methods. The initial findings of the study indicated that e-pedagogy can improve the quality of students' writing to generate ideas, enhance critical thinking, and facilitate a better understanding of topics both independently and collaboratively. The Student Learning Space (SLS) portal for Singaporean students and several other ICT applications can assist teachers in fostering higher-order thinking among students when they express personal opinions, conduct research, and engage in discussions during lessons. The use of various ICT applications and e-pedagogy in this research highlights the dynamics of teaching and learning of the Malay language today.
