Mastery of Malay Writing Skills Among Dyslexia Students

Murid disleksia mempunyai masalah dalam bidang bahasa. Penguasaan bahasa dalam kalangan murid disleksia amat rendah. Hal ini menyebabkan, murid disleksia mempunyai kekeliruan dalam mengenali huruf . Ini menyebabkan murid disleksia tidak dapat menulis huruf dengan tepat. Objektif kajian ini adalah untuk mengenal pasti masalah yang dihadapi oleh murid disleksia dalam kemahiran tulisan. Kemahiran tulisan dalam kajian ini hanya memfokuskan dalam huruf besar, huruf kecil, vokal dan suku kata. Pendekatan kualitatif yang melibatkan kaedah pengujian telah diaplikasikan dalam kajian ini.Pengkaji menggunakan Teori Levison(1994) dalam kajian ini. Pengkaji menggunakan persampelan bertujuan dengan memilih murid disleksia kelas pertengahan. Kumpulan kawalan yang terdiri daripada 8 orang murid disleksia Instrumen ujian tulisan digunakan untuk mengetahui tahap pencapaian murid disleksia dalam kemahiran tulisan. Hasil ujian mendapati bahawa 6 murid disleksia mengahadapi masalah pengenalan huruf kecil, masalah pengenalan huruf besar, masalah vokal dan masalah suku kata KV. Hasil dapatan kajian ini membolehkan guru berpendidikan khas dapat menggunakan teknik-teknik tulisan dalam pengajaran. Selain itu, ibu bapa dapat mengenal pasti masalah disleksia supaya murid tidak ketinggalan dalam proses pembelajaran. Murid disleksia dapat belajar dalam keadaan yang gembira. Masyarakat dapat keyakinan yang tinggi untuk memberi pertolongan kepada kanakkanak disleksia dalam mengatasi masalah pada peringkat awal. Perkara ini jelas menunjukkan bahawa murid-murid disleksia mempunyai masalah dalam kemahiran menulis bahasa Melayu. Masalah yang dihadapi oleh murid disleksia dalam tulisan ialah huruf besar, huruf kecil, suku kata dan vokal.
Dyslexic students have problems in the field of language. Language proficiency among dyslexic students is very low. This causes dyslexic students to have confusion in recognizing letters. This causes dyslexic students to be unable to write letters accurately. The objective of this study is to identify the problems faced by dyslexic students in writing skills. Writing skills in this study only focus on uppercase letters, lowercase letters, vowels and syllables. A qualitative approach involving testing methods has been applied in this study. The researcher used Levison's Theory (1994) in this study. The researcher used purposive sampling by selecting middle class dyslexic students. Acontrol group consisting of 8 dyslexic students A writing test instrument was used to find out the level of achievement of dyslexic students in writing skills The test results found that 6 dyslexic students faced lowercase letter identification problems, uppercase letter identification problems, vowel problems and KV syllable problems. The findings of this study allow specially educated teachers to use writing techniques in teaching. Additionally, parents can identify dyslexic problems so that students do not miss out on the learning process. Yaqng next, dyslexia murrids can learn in happy conditions. Society can be of great confidence to help dyslexic children in addressing problems in the early stages. This clearly shows that dyslexic students have problems in Malay writing skills. The problems faced by dyslexic students in writing are capital letters, small letters, syllables and vowels.
